Rifle build spec
This rifle took two AR-15 builds before it to figure out. It's the one the range safety officer took a turn with and called "badass." Twice. Watch it.
More than $6,000 in parts by my estimate, including a $2,200 scope. The spec is everything I'd want in hand if I were building it again: every part, the order to tune it in, and the setup notes.

Every part on this rifle is there for a reason. Here's what each one does. The sheet names the exact make and model.
A matched upper and lower, made as a pair, with every control on both sides. Either hand runs the rifle.
A 16-inch match-grade barrel with a chamber that shoots both .223 and 5.56 accurately, so you aren't tied to one kind of ammo.
A gas block you can tune. Most rifles run on more gas than they need. Turning it down to just enough softens the recoil and is easier on the parts.
A lighter bolt carrier and a tunable buffer spring, set up to work with the gas setting. Less weight slamming back and forth between shots.
An adjustable pull weight: lighter for precision stages, heavier for fast multi-gun work.
A brake picked to keep the muzzle flat, so the reticle stays on target through fast pairs.
A premium 1–6× scope on a precision mount, plus a 45° offset red dot for close targets without touching the magnification.
The order I tune it in, step by step, and why that order. Get it wrong and you chase your tail.
